Short note about Creamfields gig which appeared on August 9th:
Prodigy surprises to be revealed at Creamfields
Get set for some surprises from the Prodigy at this year’s Creamfields. The band, who have been at the forefront of the dance music scene since 1990, are set to headline at the 40,000 festival this August Bank Holiday.
In an exclusive interview, Liam Howlett, told Galaxy Radio, “It’s not going to be a greatest hits set but this is the UK gig we’re doing this year before people hear the brand new record next summer. It’s a very important gig so there might be a few surprises.”
Currently working in the studio on the new album, he added, “We’ve done 20 ideas so far. I’ll do 30, stop there and then look at the best ones and work them up. We’re really excited about it. It’s going to be us back on form for sure as a band. None of the old tunes are as good as the new record.”
Galaxy is the official radio partner of Creamfields which takes place in Daresbury Estate, Cheshire. The network will be live from the event broadcasting sets from the festival’s headline live acts and DJs. All this as well as backstage gossip and the breaking news as it happens. Short review by Scratchthesurface:
Still pissed, fuckin tired & bloody skint now…
It was a good festival, i liked the atmosphere! But, i’ve expected a much better sound system ( main stage ) at something like Creamfields!! At the end, the bass was quite distorted, barely can’t hear Maxim & Keith anymore, nearly rip up the sound system… Dear me, standing in front of the speakers all night long…
The Prodigy were really amazing , but i was a little disappointed by the setlist, no surprises… Never trust a drunken bitch… At least, we had ‘Love Is In The Air’ afterwards…
I assume, something went wrong during the Action Radar Link, suddenly it was just cut off, dunno, maybe some laptop problems??? But asap, it went on with the Climbatize Link.
BTW – It was an adventure, to get there in the first place. Nearly an 1 hour drive from Liverpool to Creamfields, with a shuttle bus ( double decker ) . First time, we drove underneath a bridge/tunnel, a terrifying noise & we almost got our heads torn off! Shocking! The roof was quite battered! All of us feel pretty much relieved, to be still alive & kicking…
And, how much i hated those chemical toilets, so disgusting! Plenty of used condoms in there, how can people have sex in such things!? All in a need for some chemical burn, huh!? Why not, fuck on the fields!?
