Just got back from Blackpool, another legendary gig in an amazing venue. Empress Ballroom for those who don’t know is a pretty old venue more suited to caberet acts rather than the Prodigy!
Got in to see South Central, fucking shit. How they got the gig to support is beyond me so I just stood and watched in amazement on how turd they were, playing every big tune from 2007 and building up every single one gets boring after 30 mins. BUT anyway…
Same set list as the other sets apart from 2 things…
1 no Jaws fill, this was replaced by a new fill which if im honest wasnt much. It was a fuck off retro synth and a few beats by Liam, nothing massive so need to check my recordings to see if ive got it.
Also encore was TMTTH / OOS and then a huge intro to Their Law, I saw Liam shout over to the sounddesk and say ‘One More’ and then he played around with the Their Law intro for ages. I’ve got a video of this so will get it uploaded.
He replaced ‘smack’ sample with ‘Cut the Mid Range/Drop The bass’ as well which was a nice touch!
Anyway as ever wicked gig, tight as fuck and left feeling like i’d been kicked in the head. Which is always good.
